Good Evening fellow Bloggers.. and Friends... I thought I would share a couple more pictures from my back living room.  This is an ottoman that I had redone by my upholster, Melvin... Isn't it fun??? Le-o-pard goes with everything...
Now on to the Lake Estate... we just got back from a quick trip and this is what we got done.  I finished the wall below and started the top one.  I love my latest EBay find.  The old vintage WOOl bathing suit is the best.  It has Dorothy on a ribbon at the bottom.  You can see the blue strip and her name is one it.  Can you believe they were made of WOOL? How itchy!!!

The blue lamp was a great garage sale find , that I absolutely love. This is not such an exciting picture...but... this is what Ron went down there for. We tiled the bathroom and laundry room.  It is not as much fun when you are old.  I painted the bathroom an off white and got the new shower curtain from Target.  I am not finished, so when I get it all done I will have more pictures.  Oh Yea, I haven't forgot about the leopard ceiling.  I went to change the light bulb & it has to be taken apart...so it will be a little while.
Well love to all and will be back soon...Brenda

My "RED" room ...
Good morning... I am trying to get the picture situation  settled so bare with me... Oh Yea ...by the    way ... spelling and grammar ...sometimes...are not my best attribute...
even with spell check....If you know me you would understand.
 I am VERY creative...
Well here are some pictures of my downstairs...
Here are my 2 bathrooms downstairs.  In the 1st one I used an antique tin wallpaper on the ceiling and I had to make the ugly blue tile work, because it was too expensive to change.  My shower curtains were made and designed by my designer ,yes I have a designer, Jamie of Plush Design.  If anyone is interested in using her you can contact me and I would be happy to give you her #.  I love the chandelier over the bath tub... no one has ever used this tub so I am able to put lighting over it.  I love the different fabrics and all the colors work.  It also helps make the ugly 70's tile not be sooo bad.  It really looks even better in person.

In the back bathroom I took out all the really ugly wallpaper and papered the bottom and textured and painted the top. I wanted something really different for a border( I don''t really like wallpaper border) so I used wide black velvet ribbon and big upholstery  tacks that I got at Truman's.  As you can see... here are a few of my Bee's.  I also wallpapered the ceiling in this bathroom in Leopard...yes leopard...When I was taking these pictures the light bulb went out, so I will take one and post soon.  It is really cute and believe it or not ... not to hard to do.
This is my back living room.  It used to be dark gold ...I wanted something really different...so we scraped the ceilings and re-paited and  wallpapered.  I just love it.  There is pink, a green turquoise, brown, leopard,
orange, dark red, black, avocado green, gold
and who knows what other colors are in there... and it all seems to work.  I really love it.  The colors don't show up as well as I would like them to , but it is really fun.

I made all of these pillows and some of them in the red room...I decided to take a stab at it and it worked...sometimes I know why they get the big $$$ for making them.  My hands don't work so good the next morning and the seam ripper IS my best friend.

This is another picture of my kitchen.  This is a chalk board over a single widow at the other end of the kitchen.  You can see this window when you are walking down the hall.  I am going to put cafe curtains at the bottom of this window soon.  My next project???  I love it and ,yes, it is different.  You can see the other windows in one of the older posts.  I used burlap on them.

Well I hope... in some small way... I have inspired someone.

Oh by the way... We got our Disney confirmation...yea... we participated in
Give a Day Get a Day.  We made blankets for the Linus Project and was able to earn 9 Disney tickets to go to Disney World.  What a wonderful gift.
It saved us a lot and we were able to to do a family project together.

Have a wonderful and blessed day.  Love B

We just got back from our Jackie class and
ain't she the cutest???
We had alot of fun making her and ,as
always, learned something new...
She showed us how to use Shrinky Dinks...
It is really cool. And Donna pulled my name
out for a door prize...Isn't the bunny great???

Here are a few pics of my Bedroom and my Bathroom...
This Dressing table was a Thrift find and I papered and painted it...
I just love it..
Someday there will be a Slipper Tub here where the dressing table is...
other things were more important to finish...

I just got my last pillow for my bedroom so I decided to show you some of my favorite places in my house...
I have gone from golds, reds and greens too a
little more muted colors in some of my rooms.
So here are a few pics...
I also love to hang collages in ...
I still love the reds, golds and greens as you can see.
Oh yea there is a Bumble Bee in every room.
I am the Queen Bee...so I think...

I will post my living rooms and downstairs bathrooms tomorrow. I hope this in some small way inspires you ... I always try to look for something to inspire me ...whether it is in a magazine, some ones home or just my different surroundings... all of us have our own style and you can usually find an idea in the most unlikely places...always think outside the BOX...Keep creating and be inspired by ALL your surroundings...B

Well here is another picture of the "Lake Estate" ...This is another pillow I found at Home Goods and the other one is from my friend Jackie... It, of course, set the theme and the color of my room... the table is a collection of lots of treasures... Jackie teaches classes at Paper Crown and is a very inspirational Lady... She has a WONDERFUL blog ...Good Grief Girdie...just click on GGG on the side and it will take you to her blog. She is so talented. Donna and I are taking an Easter class from her tomorrow night, and of course we can't wait. You always learn ,but... it is so much fun. We always learn something new or a new technique or a new tool to use. You never know what she will pull out of her bag of tricks. Or what goodies she will bring to eat!!! Next week we are taking a class from Franc...she is so fun too. I really don't know what we will be making yet;Donna signed me up; but I know it will be wonderful. The last class we took was a Valentine Love Letter box... still don't have any love letters BUT the box is adorable!!!
Well of to bed. I hope I wake up to Spring...what is up with this cold weather????
Oh Yea...IT IS Oklahoma...Have a wonderful day.... Hope you see something beautiful tomorrow. Love too all, Brend

Well I am back from God's country...Lake Texoma... The weather was beautiful and we had a great time.
The Grandkids actually got a sunburn.

Before... (yes, it was ugly!!!!) After...

Well so much for the weather. Now on to the slipcover adventure... 1 was good and 1 was a disaster... that IS why Pottery Barn and Ballard Design gets the big bucks for their slip covered furniture. I tried and tried to get the other one to work BUT... and of course the material for it was more expensive... Well you live and learn. I still think I am going to but a pleated skirt on it to finish it. I really liked how it turned out. I got the crab pillow in Allen, Texas at the Home Goods store. It is the best!!! It is twice the size of our TJ Maxx home department and 10 times the cool stuff... We also went to a new shopping area on down the road this great shopping area. It had all kinds of great shops... Swoozies, Charming Charlies; tons and tons of jewelry all seperated by color... it was soooo cool and The Sample House. There are too many to even begin to name. We also went through McKinney and went to Smitten and of course got some goodies. If you have never been to McKinney you should go and of course eat at Spoons.

Here are a few more pictures of the rest of the room..Hope you enjoy...

Well maybe only one... I have issues with getting the pictures where I want them and how they are on the blog. I will add more later. And we finally completed the Disney Give a Day get a Day blankets... I had issues with my bobbin at the lake.... finding one for an old machine was challenging... but we got them done and now just waiting for Disney to get the paper work done. This project allowed us to earn 9 free Disney tickets. What a wonderful gift and a great way to pay it forward... Until next time ...B

Here's to Summer Fun!!! Hope it comes soon...

Good evening everyone... I am busy getting ready to go to the Lake for Spring Break with the
Grandkids and a couple of their friends... When the boys moved out it was really hard ...but just as hard, was their friends not being around. Now we are getting to know our Grandkids friends and it is wonderful. One day I was at school looking for Anna's Teacher and all of a sudden I heard Hi B from several girls...not one was my Granddaughter, I was so thrilled... By the way the 4 younger Grandkids call me B...
We are packing up a trailer of stuff and all the fun things that go with kids...bikes, DS's, etc...
Oh yea... I am slip covering a very ugly chair for my living room at the lake. I can't live in the off white world like I would like to so... I am mixing it up and going to give it ANOTHER try...I said I would NEVER slipcover anything again. Oh well I have no sense or money...
Another project I am about to embark on is making 9 Blankets for Disney's Give a Day Get a Day... We are going to Disney in April and with 10 of us going I need all the help with expenses possible. So I signed up our family to make blankets for Project Linus...this is a volunteer program you make blankets for ill children. I am so excited to do this as a family. This Christmas ;as one of the grandkids gifts; we adopted a young lady for Christmas. We went shopping together & wrapped the gifts. We really had a wonderful time paying it forward. We plan on doing this every year and I hope the kids learn that is is always better to give than receive and that we need to be aware of the needs around us not just our wants ... I have wonderful caring gkids and they love to do for others...
Well I am off to bed and tomorrow get the roots done... NO one needs to know what my true hair color is!!!!
... pics of Spring Break to come... all the new decor at the Lake Estate and Donna has a new, Absolutely beautiful bedroom... maybe she will share her pics too...
Love to all...B

Good Morning ... I never thought I would post my Grandkids pictures ...But... One of the things I love to do most is take pictures. Anna is about to be 6 so we went down to the park by their house and took pics for all of 10 minutes. She is so photogenic... I also am learning to use my editing "stuff" on my computer. I have also added the Smilebox I made of her. If you have never used or seen Smilebox it is the BEST $40.00 I have ever spent. It makes me share and send pictures I wouldn't get around to sending. My Mom and Sister live out of town so it is a quick and fun way to send pictures. Hope you enjoy...B

It is a little late... But here are the pictures of "OUR" Grand Valentines Dinner... The table was beautiful . We always try to have a favor and a handmade goody for all the girls and candy for the guys. Our good friend and teacher, Jackie, loaned us her lady with a bird cage skirt stamp to set the theme of the table. And we just went around our houses and yard and collected goodies to use. This is Donna's house and it is always so beautiful. Our dinner was also catered by her Daughter Barbara and her assistant, Denise. We were soooo spoiled and the dinner was fabulous.
The 4 B's and their Honeys had a "wonderfully" Romantic evening and loads of fun.

I am finally getting the hang of the picture thing on my, not so professional, blog. So I hope to get the pillows on soon... Love to all and happy dreams of Spring and warmer weather... B
