As you can tell I am not a good at this yet... With the STORM of 2010 coming I thought I would share a picture with the hopes Summer would come soooon.

My New Years Thoughts...such as they are...

As the days are cold and dreary ... Remember... a way to celebrate the Christmas decorations being down and the dust bunnies being alive and well...is it to take inspiration from everywhere...magazines, old pictures of your other decorating, outside, gardens in the Spring...maybe it will make Spring come sooner..., great Blogs, Friends houses and their ideas.

I look all the time on different posts and never seem to find decor that is exactly what I am looking for, so I get bits and pieces from everywhere and try to put MY own look together.





I just got finished redoing my living room and just love how it has turned out. I haven't put it back together yet, but I am going to work on it tomorrow. I totally changed everything, we scrapped the ceilings, whoever invited popcorn ceilings needs to be destroyed, and painted a light green turquoise. It is soooo different from the dark gold. It just makes you smile and feel good. It wasn't very expensive for the paint and wall paper ;the new furniture is a different story; but it has all been worth it. When it is all back together I will post more pictures.



When I get stuck on what to da I take down everything, dust...yuk... and start over. Sometimes it is a good thing to have a clean pallet to work from...begin with your favorite things and then that doesn't work... go SHOPPING...



I love TJ Maxx and Marshall's... they have great stuff and reasonable prices... I love the Home Goods stores in Dallas.( next to TJ Maxx) Sure wish us Okies had one... I love to go to The Rink Antique Mall in OKC and go to Thrift stores sometimes they have great Treasures and when Spring arrives so do garage sales... Happy Hunting...

I always want a Grand Production soooo I am off to SHOP!!!!
